February 13-18 Hi Ho to much work to go

This week was a bit difficult for a few reasons. I had more then normal work hours and we are finally into the swing of the full AO schedule.  My wonderful DS decided without prompting to get up early and start his school work.  He set his alarm and got to work! (6:30 am!) Shocking the change in the ownership of his own education over the last few months.

So this week:

Monday
We read about Phaeton which is a great story! We also finished the Jungle Book, which I thought he would like more since it was the basis of Scouting and he is huge into Scouting. (But alas he emphatically declined reading the second one and there was a heaving sigh of relief to be done the first:)   He started a new song for the piano which is, The Lion Sleeps Tonight. 

Tuesday:

It was Valentines and I feel horrible after reading all the blogs about heart shaped pancakes and treats. :) We just treated it as another day and he got a box of Chocolate that he could have a piece out of each time he finished an assignment :) More exciting today we learned he will go to the Board Testing for his new belt next SATURDAY! (Nothing like last minute!)

Wednesday:

The regular scheduled work with the added bonus of trying to make wind powered cars. 

 

Thursday: Co-op

 I didn't have to work today! I got to go the grocery store! (Ok that is exciting in my world!) DS went to co-op class and went to the park with some friends. 

Friday: 

Our first attempt at stop animation was interesting and a total learning experience! Videos to come once we get the kinks worked out. 

Sunday: 

Nature Study, Artist Study and Shakespeare. Plus, DS finished his website for his robotics team.
