1.      Locate and label Australia, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Tasmania, Launceston, and Ayers Rock (now know by its Aboriginal name – find out what it is and label it properly.)  Many sites in the world have been given names by the white people who discovered and conquered them, but now many of those places are returning to the names given them by the indigenous peoples.  Define indigenous on your terms page.
2.      Locate and label New Zealand and its capital.  Do its two islands have separate names?  Label them, and the largest city in each.
3.      Let’s locate and label some of the south sea islands: the Cook Islands, the Marquesas (where Jim and Julie sailed), the Solomon Islands, the Fiji Islands, the Samoan Islands, the Philippines, Guam (which is owned by the US) and the Hawaiian Islands.  Since Hawaii is a US state, label each of its islands and Honolulu.
